Qatar Airways has announced a new onboard experience branded ‘Quisine’, for the new Economy Class designed to better customer-experience of fine dining while traveling with an award-winning airline like Qatar.
The menu for the class is redesigned, to begin with. Passengers will now get brand-new menu cards that include a timeline for the service provided on board on all long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights, which takes care of the fact that travelers don’t miss out on anything which is being offered due to time constraints. There will also be a facility of a pre-dinner drink that will also be available on flights which over five hours in duration, along with refreshments and cocktail snacks available prior to the main meal.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, commented that the company is hopeful that these enhancements will be of help in terms of increasing customer satisfaction as well as receiving more and more people on board the best-in-class experience of the Economy Class on Qatar Airways.
The amount of food served has also increased in proportion by 25 percent – 50 percent, with a larger service of local, fresh and healthy ingredients according to the season. Meals include individually-wrapped artisanal warm infused bread along with an individual bottle of water. There is also a larger selection of mid-flight snacks to go with a movie that includes an array of cheese and crackers, chocolate bars, potato crisps, and popcorn, as well as innovative flavors such as Himalayan Salted Caramel and French Butter and Pink Salt which are provided by famed gourmet popcorn brand 4700BC.
Launch of ‘Quisine’ will be in a phased manner across Qatar Airway’s network from April this year, beginning with flights to and from Brussels, Cardiff, Gothenburg, Moscow, and St. Petersburg.
