The Jet Airways’ employees from Lucknow have requested the Union Home Minister of India Mr Rajnath Singh to intervene and help them from the current crisis of the airline due to the airline’s temporary grounding.

In a letter to the Home Minister Mr Rajnath Singh the employees have pointed out that more than 22000 Jet employees pan India would be affected if the airline is not revived back to the active state, they also brought to his attention that other associated businesses will be affected due to the current Jet crisis.

The extract of the letter reads “Such a big airline going down will leave a huge vacuum behind, and a national brand of international repute is about to collapse. Passengers are already facing the brunt of it and are stranded all around the world.”

The employees have also said in the letter that the current surge in the airline ticket prices is due to the temporary shutting down of Jet Airways.

The employees requested the Union Minister to take necessary action that would revive the ailing airline so that it would be beneficial for both passengers and Jet employees in this crisis hour.

It may be noted that early this month Jet Airways gave a shocker by announcing that it was cutting its popular JetScreen in-flight entertainment services on all its long-haul flights, and just last week it was making news again for its temporary shutting down of all its flight operations.
