Florence is popular for its famous sangiovese based red wines originating from three major wine producing regions: Chianti region (in South of Florence), Carmignano region (west of Florence) and Bolgheri region (southwest of Florence). Your trip to Florence is incomplete if you don’t take a wine tour in one of the cantinas (wine cellar) of Florence to get an insight on the whole complex procedure involved in wine making, expect to sample free tastes of the various wines produced at these cantinas.
