The second largest city in the world, Canada is a place of utmost diversity and beauty. Though it is geographically huge, it is not that much significant when it comes to population, which is 37th in ranking world over. Most people have the only idea about the sophisticated tall buildings and smooth roads of the cities in the country, which may make it sound tame and unexplorable. But there is another part of Canada which is multicultural, varied, with the kind of natural beauty you wouldn’t think exists in a country with a reputation of being one of the most advanced countries in the world.

Fair warning though, it is not an itinerary charade where you get a ready-made list of places to visit with convenient dates, this is a place I tell you about the beautiful multi-faceted country in a sort of flow which will surely make you fall for Canada – making the itinerary after that is all your responsibility; wink! wink!

The whole trip can easily be about camping, hiking and general merriment – what you look for in an adventure trip. Sure, there will be proper adventurous stuff to do, but when you think of it lying at a beach on a starry night with a friend or a loved one by your side can also be an adventure in itself.

We cannot be talking about Canada and forget about Niagara Falls. The famous waterfall in Ontario is truly a sight to behold. The site resides on the Niagara River’s western shore which looking over the Horseshoe Falls, which happens to be the Cascades’ most expansive section. If you really want an unforgettable experience get to the site at nightfall and the world famous beauty under the stars.

After a brush with nature, drive from Ontario to Toronto and get some city time so important for most people who belong to one. While you’re at it go to the CN Tower and taste the best food and wine there before roaming around the city – when you have to check out the Kensington Market.

Exploring Toronto has all its major hotspots which I will not be jotting down here as you can get that information any time you decide to open up a Google and search for it. But I would like to note that take the ferry over the Toronto Islands and also check out the Blue Jays Game.

I will tell you this; if you’re making a trip to Canada three cities should not skip your list of places to visit in the country; these are Toronto, Ontario, and Montreal. Explore the museums, the amusement parks and the many fine eateries across towns while you’re there.

On the other hand, if you’re an explorer at heart then you get to enjoy the Rockies in the Canadian West, but you can also make your days and months more worthy when it comes to experiencing the never-ending, rich wonderful flora and fauna that melds some of Canada’s best national parks as well as the mist-clouded banks of the Vancouver Island. Confront the wildlife of the area – the moose, deer, and maybe, if you’re lucky enough even a bear on this trip loaded with catalysts that will regenerate your senses. Watching the whale, hiking down the sloped glaciers, getting inside a hot spring, and so many other things— which you’ll remember a lifetime that you have explored in a matter of two weeks.

Vancouver’s North Coast Mountains are not to be missed either in this journey where you’re basically eating up the whole of Canada – and regurgitating. What began at the charming Vancouver Island will now hit the ocean with all its glory before heading east into the lap of the gallantly standing mountains and the lush but often ominous beauty of Banff and Jasper National Parks, where you witness the Sulfur springs, canoeing, and witnessing the glaciers which are existing since time immemorial will surely overwhelm any traveler, no matter how experienced you are. And, of course, camping out is a given at night, where you’re guaranteed a sense of belonging with Mother Nature at long last.
