Madeira to Host World Travel Awards Europe Gala Ceremony Today

Madeira prepares itself to host the World Travel Awards Europe Gala Ceremony today (June 8th), a lot of top figureheads in the European travel industry are expected to attend the ceremony. The ceremony is set to take place at Madeira’s Belmonds Reid’s Palace Hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Madeira is an archipelago of islands and is declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. The Portuguese island destination- Madeira, also known as the “the islands of eternal spring” experiences a sub tropical climate. Madeira has rich volcanic soil and is home to waterfalls, lagoons and green vegetation.

The World Travel Awards take place annually and every year one destination is chosen from across the globe to host the awards, this year Madeira has been selected for hosting this prestigious event. The event showcases a series of regional gala ceremonies for recognising the best performances in the travel industry across different geographic areas. The World Travel Awards are highly respected across the globe, considered as the hall mark of quality and provides a nice platform for networking with top figureheads in the travel industry.
